Understanding PDF Settings

PDF Settings control the appearance and content of printed documents like invoices, bills, quotes, and reports in Kezi.

Overview

When you generate a PDF for any document, Kezi uses these settings to create a consistent, professional look that matches your company branding.

Key Settings

Company Information

Details that appear on your documents:

  • Company Name: Your business name
  • Logo: Company logo image
  • Address: Business address lines
  • Contact Info: Phone, email, website

Document Layout

Controls the structure of your PDFs:

  • Paper Size: A4, Letter, etc.
  • Orientation: Portrait or Landscape
  • Margins: Top, bottom, left, right spacing
  • Font: Default typeface for documents

Header Section

What appears at the top of documents:

  • Logo Position: Left, center, or right
  • Logo Size: Dimensions in pixels
  • Company Address: Show/hide address in header
  • Document Title: How the document type is displayed

What appears at the bottom of documents:

  • Page Numbers: Format and position
  • Bank Details: Account information for payments
  • Terms and Conditions: Standard legal text
  • Signature Block: Space for signatures

Content Settings

How document content is displayed:

  • Line Item Columns: Which columns to show
  • Tax Display: How taxes are presented
  • Currency Format: Number formatting
  • Date Format: How dates appear

Configuring PDF Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings > PDF Settings.
  2. Select the document type or company.
  3. Configure each section:
    • Upload or change your logo
    • Enter company details
    • Set layout preferences
    • Add footer content
  4. Click Save Settings.
  5. Preview: Generate a sample PDF to review.

Some settings can be customized per document type:

Best Practices

  1. Use High-Quality Logo: At least 300 DPI for crisp printing
